Winter thoughts of spring

In midst of the Polar Vortex spotting flowers at the market bring thoughts of spring! Today is Ground Hog Day and Punxsutawney Phil is predicting six more weeks of winter. Another winter storm is predicted to arrive tomorrow, so this seemed to be an appropriate choice for today's post!

I've submitted this to the January Photo-Heart Connection and hope to get some inspiration to freshen up this blog in the coming months!

We finally have some rain here in Northern California today. Great choice on the black and white in your image.

A great choice of processing, black and white of something usually so colorful, to give that "dreams in winter" feel. It's great to have you back in the Photo-Heart Connection, Maggie!

Longing for spring here too. It can't come soon enough, although I don't want to wish time away.

Flowers in winter, they are so uplifting, especially in parts of the world where many people have been experiencing really tough winter conditions.
Keep snug during your next winter storm!

Nice to dream of spring when the weatherman is forecasting more storms and snow later this week. Thank goodness for flowers from the market!

Yes, thank goodness for flowers from the market. Yesterday I saw snowdrops growing for the first time this year, how they lifted my heart.

Hello! I love the image you've chosen to share and the black and white processing is so beautiful and perfect since we're waiting for spring. I'm sure any moment it will burst in to bright color. I live in Texas and there's a green tinge of color in the trees now. I know it will be several more weeks before the leaves open, but I can see the promise of spring and I can't wait! Take care!

Wonderful processing! Good old Phil...do you know my husband is named after this rodent? Honest! And, yeah, he was born on Groundhog's Day!
